A Toast to the Montadas

We all know that when we reach the end of the trail or finish the ride, there is a moment that defines our lifestyle: The search for a patch to have a cold drink.
After a long day of adrenaline, only the recurring memories of those last descents remain in my head, where we controlled the bike on a killer slope, that steep slope where the brake made no difference, the section that we took at full speed where we felt that we were in Fort William, that 20-second drop in the air that felt bigger than the rampage or twice as long that had been damaging our sleep or had us with emptiness in our stomach. It is the sum of these moments and the desire to celebrate them that warrants us ending up patched in the overturn of the car parked on any sidewalk or in the store in some unknown neighborhood, uncovering beers to toast the exploits of all the friends.
With every beer we open, we repeat and dramatize those moments over and over again, and no matter how long we stay in that loop, who did it better or who didn't, there is always the good energy of the patch and the admiration among the group. for the feats achieved on that day of escape, that day designated to escape on the bicycle.
