A day at La Muelona Bike Park

La Muelona Bike Park has established itself as one of the most important destinations for freeride in Colombia. It all started when its creator, Dimas, had the opportunity to take a road trip with his friends to Trestle Bike Park in Colorado, USA. There, he discovered the famous RainMaker line, a black diamond level jump track, which immediately connected with his passion for flying. This experience was the starting point for dreaming of a jump track in Colombia, something never seen before.
For those of us who live in Colombia and practice MTB, we know that our tracks are usually ancestral paths or gully trails in the mountains, with very few jumps. This made training and perfecting the technique a slow and complicated process. However, Dimas' dream marked a before and after, opening the doors for other initiatives such as Toro Bike Park , which have developed their own versions of freeride tracks.
La Muelona not only changed the MTB scene in the country, but also inspired a new generation of riders to raise their level and enjoy the adrenaline of freeride.
